kIANNA HAS FOUND hER Forever Home !!!

 

  
  Beautiful three year old Kianna was found lingering in a kill shelter, waiting almost a month for someone to save her. When we were told of her plight, it took us just a few hours to bring her to safety. It seemed no one was interested in saving Kianna because she was heartworm positive.

Heartworms are so easily (and inexpensively) prevented, with a monthly dose of a chewable preventative. It is shocking to see the number of beautiful pure-bred dogs that are euthanized because the shelters don't have the funds for the treatment of this disease.

Kianna's previous family didn't care enough about her to give her a monthly preventativve. Instead, she had to go through a costly and dangerous treatment and then be stricly confined for 30 days while the chemicals worked to kill the heartworms that had invaded her body.

Kianna has now successfully completed her treatment, but the costs involved to save her life need to be addressed. If you are able to make a tax deductible donation to help defray the costs involved to save Kianna, she would be so appreciative.

We prefer to adopt to families with past Scottie, Westie and/or Terrier experience, but realize this isn’t always possible. You must have a secure & fenced yard.

We do not ship our pets. If you have that special place in your heart & in your home for a Scottie (or any of our other available Rescue Dogs), please be prepared to visit us in Dallas for an in person meet & greet session with our Available Dogs. If you have existing pets, they must travel to Dallas with you, so we can be assured that they will be compatible with the new addition to your family.
