Just before Christmas
2009, we were asked to rescue several Scotties from a breeder who was
retiring. In the group of beautiful Scotties, was a pregnant female.
There was a lot of discussion between us and our vets about terminating
the pregnancy. In the end, we all decided rescue was about saving
lives, not ending them, so the pregnancy continued and on December 23,
2009, eight Scottie pups were born. It is now time for the pups to find their forever homes. Both the males and the females have black coats. We ask that any applicants have prior Scottie and/or Terrier experience, and consider the age of the puppy and his/her needs, such as multiple feedings each day, interaction with both humans and other dogs to properly socialize her, and of course, patience with house-training. Please note: We are not adopting these puppies outside of a reasonable driving distance from Dallas, unless we have previously adopted to your family or you have a long history with the Scottish Terrier breed.
All dogs adopted by Scottie Kingdom Rescue, Inc. have had a full medical
exam by one of our licensed Veterinarians, which includes testing (and
treatment, if necessary) for Heartworm disease, Lyme disease, Ehrlichia
and Anaplasmosis, all necessary vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery,
dental cleaning as necessary, microchipping, registration of the
microchip, and any other medical needs each particular dog may need.
Because we want to assure you of the health of our adoptable pets, we
include a pre-paid 30 day health insurance policy with each adoption.
Copies of all available medical records are transferred to you when the
adoption is finalized. |
