Currently In Treatment

At any given time, we will have one or two dogs in our care that are Heartworm Positive.  The treatment to save the lives of these dogs is expensive and time consuming.  After receiving treatment, the dogs must be confined for 30 days or longer, to prevent medical issues that can end their life.  They are prohibited from running free in the yard and must be kept on a leash at all times.  Additional blood tests are required, and at times, a 2nd heartworm treatment is necessary.

Currently, Scottie Kingdom Rescue, Inc. is responsible for eight (8) dogs that are Heartworm Positive.
