~ Emma ~

 ***  UPDATE  ***

eMMA HAS FOUND hER Forever Home !!!

One year old Emma is an owner surrender to a shelter, along with her daughter, Heather (who we also rescued). When the shelter tested her for heartworms, Emma tested positive. Because of the cost and time involved with her treatment, the shelter wasn't able to keep her, so we rescued both of these cute little girls.

Emma is a Wheaten colored Cairn Terrier that has had her tail docked by her previous owner. She is one year old.

Emma will complete her heartworm treatment and be available for adoption on or about September 15th. In the meantime, if you would like to assist with her medical care with a tax deductible Donation, please click on the Donate button below:

Thank you in advance for any monetary help you can lend to Emma's Care. We can't do our work without your assistance.

Scottie Kingdom Rescue is a 501(c)3 Non Profit Organization. We prefer to adopt to families with past Scottie – Westie and/or Terrier experience, but realize this isn’t always possible. You must have a secure & fenced yard.

We do not ship our pets. If you have that special place in your heart & in your home for a Scottie (or any of our other available Rescue Dogs), please be prepared to visit us in Dallas for an in person meet & greet session with our Available Dogs. If you have existing pets, they must travel to Dallas with you, so we can be assured that they will be compatible with the new addition to your family.

Please contact us at Rescue@scottiekingdom.com to receive an Adoption Application or for more information on our Adoption process.

Thank you for considering Adoption!

UPDATE: 8-22-05  Emma is having a respiratory reaction to the heartworm treatment and was treated at our Vet's office today after having blood tests & chest x-rays.  She is now resting comfortably at her foster home.  The additional medical care has increased the cost of her treatment by over $150.00.

UPDATE: 8-24-05  Emma is feeling so much better now!  Her appetite has returned and she's back to her bouncy, playful self !!!
