~ Bennett ~
Bennett came to us as an owner surrender with special circumstances. It
seems his original family couldn't/wouldn't care for him any longer, so
they chose to put an ad on the internet and give Bennett away... 'Free
to good home' the ad stated.
Unfortunately, Bennett's ad was placed on one of the worst (yet popular) websites for pets, and in less than 24 hours, Bennett found his new 'home'. Sadly, his new home didn't care one thing about Bennett, they were simply wanting to make a quick dollar off of him, which is why they placed a new ad on this same website, but this time, Bennett had a big price tag. They didn't even have him vaccinated, nor bathed and groomed. Neuter surgery wasn't in the cards either. These people were dog 'brokers', and they spend countless hours looking for free, or low cost pets, then re-sell them for a profit. And that's what happened with Bennett. He was re-sold for a profit.
Now, in his 3rd home within 5 days, Bennett was so upset, he wouldn't use the bathroom outside, despite the 'broker' stating he was fully house-trained. Instead of giving him the necessary time to realize he had found a home, Bennett was surrendered to us.
Bennett's registration papers confirm his birth-date as 4-25-07. This handsome Scot is just four years of age. His new home should have plenty of tennis balls handy, because Bennett loves to play fetch!
